Rule Category/Guideline View

The Rule Results View is the second level view of evaluation results in AInspector.  It provides detailed rule results information for a specific group of rules.

Rule Category/Guideline View Features

Group Title: The name for the group of rule results.

“Back” Button:  Activating the back button changes the view to the Summary View.

“Views” Button: Opens a menu to changes the view to a the Summary view or another Rule Results view.

Rule Summary Table: A table summarizing the number of rules with violations, warnings, manual checks and passed for the group of rules.

Information Icon: Opens a dialog box with information on the results legend and a link to learn more about the terms used in AInspector.

“Rule Results” Grid: The grid (e.g. interactive table) with each row containing the results for specific rule.  The first column is the rule summary, followed by the result, the WCAG Success Criterion, WCAG Level and then whether the rule is required.  Pressing the Enter key changes to the Element View.

“Details” Button: Changes to the Elements Results view based on the selected row in the Rue Results Grid.

Copy Button: Copies the contents of the Selected Rule details to the clipboard as plain text.

Select Rule: Provides additional information on the rule selected in the Rule Results Grid, including:

  • Summary
  • Definition
  • Rule Scope
  • Action
  • Purpose
  • Techniques
  • Target Resources
  • Compliance
  • WCAG Success Criteria
  • Additional Resources

“Preferences” Button: Opens the Preferences page for AInspector.

“Rerun Evaluation” Button: Reruns the evaluation and updates the results.  Can be configured to prompt for a delay before re-running the evaluation.

“Export Data” Button: Save a CSV or JSON version of the rule results to a local file.
